Safehinge - a new generation of finger safe fire doors

We introduce to you the Safehinge ALU range of fire doors. Doors that are truly fit for buildings designed for the 21st century.
Safehinge fire doors achieve complete finger safety as they allow the door to pivot without creating a gap at the hinge. This system is installed once on the fire door, lasts the life of the door and cost savings can be up to 75% (equating to about £500 saving per door), compared to alternative hinge cover solutions.

Safety first...

These door hinges eliminate any chance of fingers being trapped by using a specialist pivot set and a curved aluminium profile, thus removing the gap at the hinge when opening and closing.

This clever new design means there is no opportunity for wandering fingers to be trapped- ideal for schools and nurseries.

The easiest Installation...

At Enfield Doors we know that reality inevitably differs from the original architectural plans of a building. We also understand that you cannot afford to let schedules slip and so the installation of our doors needs to be quick, easy and hassle free.

The Safehinge range offer installers far more on-site adjustability than any competitors. Both pivots are adjustable using easy-access mechanisms. This adjustability counteracts any building imperfections and ensures outstanding results are achieved every time.

No need to replace, ever.

Clients want doors that are installed and no further commitment is needed to them, the testing has been done on these doors which makes this possible. The Safehinge system has achieved Severe Duty - the highest grading possible to DD171:1987, which in line with BS1192 classification means the door is suitable for environments where it will undergo "frequent violent usage".

Safehinge have also undergone doorset cyclic testing to over 1.5 million cycles without any sign of failure.  This reliability is down to the quality of materials that they are made from - 316 Stainless Steel and anodised aluminium - and the excellence of their design.

Huge lifetime savings
In the past, the best solution available for protecting fingers from hinges was retrofit hinge covers, which are renowned for having durability issues after time.

When hinge covers break (at an estimated frequency of every 6 - 24 months), they are costly to replace. In a 25 year span of a building’s life this cost can be substantial. The Safehinge range is a durable and reliable solution to this issue and over the life of a building will save significant life costs.
